If there is no match, players draw a domino from the Boneyard. If a match is drawn, it is played immediately. If not, the domino remains in the player's hand.

On subsequent turns, players add a "playable domino" to their train, the Mexican Train, or any "open" trains. A domino is considered playable when it matches the end of the train being added to. If a player does not have a playable domino, they draw and immediately play if possible. If they still cannot play, they place their Train Marker on top of their train, signaling that it is "open" and can be added to by other players. To "close" their train, a player must find and add a matching domino to the end of it, then remove their Train Marker.
