To start the game, place a double-12 domino in the station, which will serve as the "engine" and the starting point of the game. Next, put all the dominoes in the pouch and mix them up. Players then take turns drawing dominoes from the pouch, with the number of dominoes drawn depending on the number of players (see the accompanying table). Players keep their dominoes hidden from their opponents, and the remaining dominoes stay in the pouch, referred to as the "bone yard."
